Tapiture’s strong juvenile sales season continued on Thursday at the OBS Sale of 2-year-olds in Training when hip no. 873 went for $225,000.
After the conclusion of the OBS, Tapiture’s 2-year-old average of $143,071 is more than 19 times his stud fee.
Consigned by Whitman Sales LLC, agent, the bay colt went to J. A. S. He is out of the stakes-placed mare Acajou, who is also the dam of the graded stakes-placed Yellow Chips. The colt hails from the same family as influential sire Carson City.
